Activate the desktop app
Sign in through your browser — the standard, secure way. No key to copy in most cases.
- Install & open the ReScholar desktop app (download it from the Overview page).
- The app shows a “Sign in with browser” button. Click it — your normal web browser opens to ReScholar and asks you to sign in (Google or email), exactly like this dashboard.
- After you sign in, the browser shows “Return to the ReScholar app”. The app picks up your account automatically and unlocks your plan — nothing to copy.
- Offline fallback: if the app can’t reach your browser (locked-down PC, no internet), open Account → Activate offline in the app and paste the licence key above. It verifies without any internet.
- Done. The desktop app works offline until your licence period ends, then refreshes automatically next time it’s online.
Why browser sign-in? It's how professional apps (VS Code, Figma, Slack) activate — your password never touches the desktop app, and it works with Google sign-in too. The licence key is just a backup for fully-offline machines.
