How it works

From a blank page to a work the world can cite

ReScholar brings the three things a writer or researcher needs into one place: a studio to write, a publishing house to make your work permanent and provable, and a reader that carries it to the world. Here's how to use each one well.

01

Draft in the writing studio

Open the studio and start writing — or paste an existing draft. It's a clean two-pane workspace: your manuscript on one side, and help on the other. Grammar, tone and clarity suggestions appear as you write, and everything works offline so nothing interrupts your flow.

  • Start from a template for a book or any major paper format
  • Ask ReScholar AI to draft a section, rephrase a paragraph, or brainstorm — it stays in your voice
  • Your text is saved as you go; pick up exactly where you left off
Do it well: write the messy first draft first, then use the AI to tighten — not the other way round. It's a sharper editor than a blank-page author.
02

Compare & check before you commit

Before you publish, compare any two versions side by side with strict, case-sensitive precision — so you see exactly what changed and how much. Read it through once more for anything that weakens it.

  • Word-level diff with a clear "percent identical" verdict
  • Catches case-only and whitespace edits other tools miss
  • Run a prior-art check — ReScholar warns you if your work overlaps with something already published
Do it well: run the prior-art check on your abstract and intro — that's where overlap matters most for establishing that your idea is distinct.
03

Publish — and get permanent proof, automatically

Click Publish, add a title and a short abstract or blurb, choose your type, license, price and who can see it. The moment you confirm, your work is sealed with proof that it's yours — no extra steps, all included:

  • A permanent ReScholar ID (like RS-2026-000042) — citable, shareable, never breaks
  • A tamper-proof fingerprint (SHA-256) — proves the text hasn't been altered since
  • A blockchain timestamp — anchored to Bitcoin, so anyone can verify the date without trusting us
  • A downloadable Certificate of Priority — the shareable, signed proof of what you wrote and when
Remember: publishing is permanent. You can always revise (every version is kept, and your original date never moves) — but a published work can't be deleted. That permanence is exactly what makes the proof trustworthy.
04

Mint a DOI for research work (optional)

If you published a paper, preprint, thesis or whitepaper, you can register a DOI — the permanent, globally-recognised identifier that journals use. It makes your work officially citable and discoverable in the worldwide scholarly system, and it looks the part on a CV.

  • Open your published research work and click Mint DOI (costs 25 credits, once)
  • You need an abstract first — it becomes the public page the DOI resolves to
  • Works whether your paper is free or for sale — the DOI points to the public page, your full text can stay paywalled
Do you need one? The free proof (ID + hash + certificate + blockchain) is excellent for "I had this first." A DOI is for when you want the work to count academically and be found by other researchers.
05

Sell your work — and keep 80%

Choose "Sell it" when publishing and set your own price in rupees and dollars. Readers see your title, abstract and a generous free preview, then pay once to unlock and own the full text. You keep the great majority of every sale.

  • You keep 80% of each sale; the rest covers payment fees and the platform
  • Earnings land in your wallet — withdraw to your bank or UPI
  • Same for a research paper or a full book
Do it well: price for volume, not scarcity. A well-priced paper that many people buy earns more than an expensive one nobody does — and every reader grows your following.
06

Reach readers in any language — read, listen, translate

A work on ReScholar isn't locked to one language or one way of reading. Readers can read it, hear it narrated aloud with each line highlighted, or follow a live translation — in the language they think in.

  • Doc Listener narrates any work in a natural voice; tap a word to jump the voice there
  • Live translation streams alongside the original across major world and Indian languages
  • Readers save works to a Reading List to return to later
Do it well: add your work to your own Reading List and listen to it end-to-end — hearing it read aloud is the fastest way to catch what still reads awkwardly.
07

Build a following and see who's engaging

Your profile is a serious home for a serious body of work. Readers follow you, rate and comment, and you get clear author analytics — who read, saved, downloaded and bought each work.

  • Followers, ratings, comments and a discovery feed
  • Link works together with references — ReScholar builds a citation graph showing who cited you
  • Add your ORCID so your papers connect to your verified researcher identity
Do it well: cite other ReScholar works by their ID in your references. It links you into the citation graph and puts your work in front of those authors' audiences.
